ABA Board lost a member

St. Louis, MO.......... Most of you already know, the ABA and the Dance Community lost a great friend and contributor, Judy Ciaramitaro on January 24, 2025. Judy's passing was a surprise and left a deep impact our dance scene. Judy was inducted into the American Bop Association's Hall of Fame in 2020 and has served as Secretary for the ABA for the last 7-8 years. Go to http://www.amercianbop.org and then to Hall of Fame to see her bio.

Judy's accomplishments are many, her list of friends and acquaintances is huge, and her contributions to the local Midwest dance scene and national dance scene are things that have shaped what we all love to do, dance, in a way that has moved us forward.

Loosing Judy leaves a big hole in our hearts and quite frankly, in our organization. We relied on Judy for so many things she's done for the ABA. Fortunately, Sharon Commerford, our excellent webmaster ( http://www.americanbop.org ) has stepped up and offered to be our Interim Secretary until we can elect a permanent Secretary at our October Annual Meeting at Boogie in the Bluegrass, Louisville, KY.

Our prayers go out to Judy's family and friends who love her so much.
